I thought the new bid of $127 was a pretty strong bid and would stay #1 for a good while, but I guess I was wrong. A new high bid of $200 has been thrown into the ring, and this one is counting towards the $100 giveaway as well. Looks like there’s 2 serious contenders right now for the $100 prize, but then again I didn’t think there would be 2 #1 link bids in one day. Someone could get fiesty, I’ll keep giving updates as action happens on the page.

Went to get a chest xray to help find out why I’ve been wheezing during races. Here’s a side view of my lungs:

Sort of cool to see what things looks like inside me.

Released a Press Release today for $250! http://www.prweb.com/releases/2006/9/prweb438395.htm hoping to get some good pickups by the press from that puppy.
New high link of $127.51 and there’s a bit of a surge in link purchases. This is due in part to the contest, but also in part to the fact that the page has been picking up a good amount of attention lately. Just the tip of the iceberg I believe.

A strong move was made today as one webmaster bought $120 in links that counted towards the $100 giveaway contest. Now instead of taking the 1st link for $100 they bought 20 links for $6. A very interesting strategy, and I’m not sure which one works better. On the one hand the 1st link stays up longer, and gets the most hits on the site. On the other hand the 20 links may stay for a shorter period, but if anybody clicks on a link on the middle of the page, it’s going to be this guy’s link. Also, thanks to this purchase, the minimum bid is now $3.01.
Also if this webmaster ends up winning, he will have paid only $1 per link a pretty damned good deal I’d say. Now is this move going to break the rest of the field, or is someone going to chase after him and battle it out for the $100 prize? there’s about 35 hours left in the contest, so we’ll find out. Good luck to everyone!

Still anyone’s $100. There are 3 main players now, 1st place has $25, second has $8, third has $5. Remember you can buy your own links. Also someone asked if you can offer incentives to people buying links, and you may. I also updated the contest page so the top contestants are shown and you can enter your email to see how many links you’ve sold.
About 51 hours left in the contest, good luck to everyone!

The second link to stay on the homepage for 121 days has just gone under. 4 months on the homepage, not bad. If you look at how long other links have lasted you can see how it pays to take the top link as opposed to buying a middle of the page link. Although it may make more sense to buy middle of the page strictly for SEO purposes and not for traffic.

14 miles AM: 5miles trail +drills PM: 9miles workout warmup 6 miles did 5 college with a group of goats. then on the track for 8×200 with 200 rest in 32, 33, 31, 33, 33, 32, 31, 31 with team contamination. Felt very faced, stride not very relaxed at all. Not used to turning over the legs that quickly. Probably a good sign that I can run a good 3 mile off of no speed whatsoever. Pumped to see what I can run after I get some faster stuff in a little later in the season. cooldown 1 mile on the alumni
